Version 1.0, effective 17 August 2026. This operational draft should be reviewed by Nigerian counsel.
Laskem Financial Advisors Limited, RC 9724140, is the controller for personal information submitted through this website. Registered office: No. 20, Soji Olagunju Street, off Alpha Beach Road, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. Privacy enquiries may be sent to laskem@laskem.com or made by telephone on +234 901 084 9655.
Information we collect
The enquiry form collects your name, organisation, role if provided, email address, telephone number if provided, likely service, the decision or problem described, timing and referral source. We also receive limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as request time, browser information and internet protocol address.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to assess fit, check scope and conflicts, respond to you and take steps you request before a possible engagement. We use limited technical information to operate, secure and diagnose the website. Where necessary, we may also process information to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Processors and disclosures
Service providers may process information for website hosting, security, enquiry delivery, email and managed technology support. They may act only on documented instructions and only for the service they provide. We may also disclose information where law requires it or to professional advisers who are subject to confidentiality duties.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, Laskem will use an applicable transfer basis and contractual or organisational safeguards appropriate to the destination and the service.
Retention
General enquiries are normally retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. Conflict-check records and information required for legal claims may be retained for up to six years. Security and diagnostic logs are normally retained for no more than 90 days unless an incident requires longer preservation.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is the processing basis. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us first if you would like us to review a concern.
Data minimisation and security
Do not send confidential records, personal financial information or sensitive documents through the first-contact form. If a mandate progresses, an appropriate exchange method can be agreed. We apply proportionate technical and organisational measures, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes
We may update this notice when website data flows, providers or legal requirements change. The version and effective date above identify the current notice.
